As a public non-profit organization, Sheltering Tree Ranch relies on community support to run our autism and learning challenge development center. This includes both monetary donations and volunteering provided by individuals and local businesses. We also have generous families supporting children whose families cannot afford some or all of the tuition cost.
Because we believe that every child and adult deserves an opportunity to reach their full potential, it is our goal to make Sheltering Tree Ranch affordable for all, but we need your help! As a public 501(c)(3) nonprofit, donations made to Sheltering Tree are tax deductible. You can also participate in one of our community events to support our mission and get to know some of our amazing kids and adults. If you would like to sponsor a child or adult, donate, or volunteer, please contact us today.

Bass Tournament
Get your fishing poles ready! Each March, we hold a bass tournament at Pickwick Landing State Park packed with friendly competition and outdoor fun. Entry fees help to support the educational, recreational, and therapeutic services we provide here at Sheltering Tree.
Golf Tournament
Take in the fresh air and beautiful scenery with us at our annual Golf Scramble, a golf tournament held each May with sponsorship opportunities available. Registration is open to both teams and individuals with registration fees funding our mission to help individuals with learning challenges and their families.
Fun Day
It doesn’t get any bigger or better than our October Fun Day event! Fun Day is our largest fundraising event each year, where we welcome everyone in the community to come and enjoy a day packed with fun and free activities including pony rides, bouncy houses, vendors, food trucks, live music, a car show, a motorcycle ride, and some Ranchy horse exhibits. This event also shares a date with the Savannah/ Hardin County Airport’s Fly In, which you can attend for free right across the street!
While this is the only day of the year that we charge an entrance fee to the ranch, all activities can be enjoyed at no extra cost but be sure to bring a little extra money to shop with our vendors and eat at one of the food trucks! Proceeds from this event contribute greatly to the children we support and allow everyone to be a part of something amazing.
